PPG's Monroeville, Pa., business and technology center serves as the business headquarters for PPG's specialty coatings and materials businesses. While primarily an administrative and research facility, the site has a small manufacturing operation that makes photochromic dyes for use in optical lenses. PPG began operations at the facility in 1989.
