PPG's architectural coatings EMEA business was created in 2008 through the acquisition of SIGMAKALON Group, a worldwide Dutch-based coatings producer and the acquisition of Dyrup, a Danish-based European Coatings producer and is the second-largest supplier of architectural coatings and sundry products in Europe, supplying decorative, woodcare and specialty coatings to professional painters via a network of more than 550 PPG-owned service centres and more than 3,500 independent wholesalers.
