Enhancing and Engaging Our Communities

Key Policy Issues

PPG Industries' vision is to continue to be the world’s leading coatings and specialty products company.  A component of this vision is effective government engagement at the federal, state, and local level.
PPG policy priorities for the 2014 calendar year include energy efficiency, a consistent regulatory environment, and comprehensive tax reform.  PPG leaders have identified these issues as critical to the company’s continued competitiveness.

Participating in the Political and Public Policy Process

PPG believes that governmental participation at all levels is vital for our business, employees, and communities.   PPG’s commitment to proactively engaging the political process includes communicating with government officials, advocating for public policy issues, and informing PPG employees about legislation and regulations.

PPG's Government Affairs team provides a variety of resources including fact sheets, employee presentations, and timely newsletters.  We are dedicated to keeping our employees familiar with the political process, as well as encouraging everyone to take action on important issues.

PPG Government Affairs maintains a non-partisan, issues-based approach to understanding the candidates and their positions as it concerns core components of our business.  We do not endorse candidates or tell employees how to vote.

In addition, PPG maintains PPG PAC, a voluntary political action committee comprised of PPG employees.  It is fully funded by voluntary contributions from PPG employees.
