PPG Certified Metal Panel Program

PPG's new Certified Metal Panel Program (PPG/CMPP) is modeled after PPG's popular Certified Applicator Program (PPG/CAP). The PPG/CMPP program gives you a direct channel to an elite group of metal panel manufacturers certified by PPG to apply and/or specify, design, fabricate and install pre-painted steel or aluminum products with high-performance Duranar®, Duranar® ULTRA-Cool® and Coraflon® fluoropolymer coatings.

The PPG/CMPP program enhances the ability of its certified metal panel manufacturers to meet demand for more value-added products and solutions. In addition to quality, PPG-certified metal panel manufacturers provide regional sourcing of aluminum or steel coated metal panels, fast-track service to meet tight construction deadlines and state-of-the-art application technology.

To become part of the PPG/CMPP program, participants undergo a rigorous auditing process that encompasses all aspects of the metal panel coatings process, from cleaning and pre-treating of the metal substrate to the actual application of the coating. The audit also specifies paint application parameters and cure schedules and how finished products should be handled, packed and shipped. The program also includes a continuous training and education component.
